Sonakshi Sinha is a Strong Woman who Campaigns against Cyber Bullying

In age of internet, cyber-bullying is one of the most crucial types of modern harassments. Every other person who uses internet may become an easy victim of the cyber-bullying and online harassment. Even the most famous personalities don’t have any exception. Sonakshi sinha, the famous Bollywood actress, is bullied in August, 2020. How much she has suffered due to this menace, other may see but only she can feel it. Thanks to her hale stance, she not only decided to fight against the bully, but she opted to launch a campaign against those bullies. In the comment section of her instagram account, she urges other women to stand against any type of bullying. It turns out that if people, particularly women, start to stand against bullies, the criminal act of bullying will automatically vanish. “We help bullies if we allow the bullies to harass us”, says one of her followers on twitter.

The most motivational point of her story is that she also decides to help other who are being bullied. In association of Mission Josh, she goes to launch “Ab Bas” (Stop Now), not only to spread awareness about bullying but to practically stand along with the people victimized by bullies. “Ab Bas” will be a new ray of hope particularly for women in India who have not a proper channel to deal in domestic or cyber bullying. In the launching ceremony of “Ab Bas” she comments, “extremely glad to be part of a campaign like this to help as many people as I can, who have been subjected to online harassment". Members of Mission Josh community are highly enthusiastic and active to make the world bully-free. They declared their campaign to be their legacy on this world. Not only they called it to be a ‘FEE’ paid for their stay on the globe, but they declared it to be ever growing chain, always ready to help those who are in danger of cyber bullying.

The dark night of cyber harassment brought a warm and shiny day in the life of Sinha. It is worth to mention that her own bully, Shashikant Jadhav, 27, has already been arrested from Aurangabad. "I am immensely grateful to cyber crime branch Mumbai for taking prompt action and being so supportive. I took this step to report the culprits so that even others gather the courage to do the same. Ab Bas, we will not watch and allow online abuse to happen to us or others," said Sinha while giving remarks after the arrest of her bully, Mr. Jadhav.

Cyber bullying comes in many packages. It includes sending messages and photographs to any unknown person, sending threats while using online resources, trolling and passing unethical and embarrassing remarks about anybody, etc. It is a sort of thing which makes one’s life miserable and affects mentally in a very bad way. Rashmi Karandikar, a high official in Mumbai Cyber Crime Branch says, Cyber bullying and cyber stalking are punishable offences. We should all work in the direction of making the internet safe for all."

Thank goes to Sinha and Mission Josh for marking full stop to cyber bullying.
